Templos budistas establecidos en Suiza
Geshe Rabten Rinpoche fundó en 1977 en Mont Pèlerin un monasterio budista y un centro de estudios para monjes, monjas y laicos europeos.
Un año después, en 1978, se estableció la Unión Budista Suiza (Schweizerische Buddhistische Union / Union Suisse des Bouddhistes / Unione Buddhista Svizzera), fundada por el budista checo Mirko Fryba.
Suiza alberga actualmente varios monasterios tibetanos-budistas y zen, entre ellos el Instituto Tibetano Rikon, situado en Zell-Rikon im Tösstal en el valle de Töss, en el cantón de Zúrich.
En 2003, el templo Theravada Wat Srinagarindravararam en Gretzenbach fue dedicado por la Princesa Galyani Vadhana, hija de la Princesa Madre Srinagarindra, en honor a quien se nombró el templo.
